Had an excellent dinner last night. The service was quick and friendly without feeling rushed. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The butter chicken was a standout—perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. You can tell they use quality ingredients and actually care about what they serve. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the place was clean and well-kept. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both food and service like this. Definitely coming back! Thank you

We had the lunch buffet today and everything was great!! I believe they change the menu up daily for the buffet but everything we tried was excellent. And it's very affordable for downtown Asheville. A big surprise was 2.99 beers and 3.99 wines. Can't get that anywhere these days. Definitionally going back soon.

Genuinely some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The quality and flavor is unbeatable. It is so aromatic and favorable. Portions are large and definitely worth the price. Service was excellent and many people were checking in on the table. I have no complaints. 10/10 recommend. (I should have taken the photos before hand but I was hungry)

We would highly recommend the Mehfil team for wedding catering! Not only was the food amazing, the Mehfil team was kind, flexible, and such a pleasure to work with. Their passion and dedication really showed when they were able to pull off a 3-day event for 200 guests despite a last-minute change to our event location and the addition of extra meals throughout the weekend. Tasting and Planning: When searching for an Asheville-based Indian caterer for our 200 guest wedding, we came across Mehfil. We visited the restaurant and tried their buffet lunch and enjoyed the variety and taste of their food! We then spoke with Rajdeep, the owner, and Das, head chef. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and flexible as we worked together to create a unique menu for our 3-day event with a variety of Marathi, Gujarati, and Punjabi dishes. We were able to schedule a tasting, where we tried over a dozen varieties of options we wanted. There were still a few dishes we wanted to try, and Rajdeep was willing to let us have another tasting to make sure everything was perfect. Rajdeep and our coordinator worked together with the venue to determine how we would arrange the buffets and to make sure we had the right type of serving dishes and cookware. Execution: We planned to have our wedding in Asheville in October 2024. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Helene, we were forced to relocate our wedding to Charlotte with just 10 days notice. Rajdeep said “leave it to me to handle the logistics” and he absolutely delivered!! The Mehfil team was still able to pull off catering our event in a different city. Additionally, he was able to add menu items last minute since we needed to also cater breakfast and lunch for our guests because our new venue did not provide them. Despite the challenges and last-minute changes, the Mehfil team executed wonderfully - food was delicious, staff was friendly, and everything was on time. We also learned that Mehfil was providing free meals to those in need in the weeks after Hurricane Helene. We are so glad we were able to work with such grateful and community-oriented people for our wedding!

This is fine dining at reasonable prices. The tables are covered in white table cloths. The service is amazing and food is even better. Best naan bread ever. Plus they are willing to spice your order from 1-10 and have great spices. Big shout out to our server, Amelia Bedelia, who made our dinner even better!

Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. Range of spices to accommodate everyone. Bullet naan certainly has a kick.

I have dined at some of the finest Indian restaurants in cities like Chicago and New York, and being Indian myself, I am quite particular about authentic flavors. However, I must say that Mehfil Indian Restaurant in Asheville exceeded all expectations and is truly one of the best Indian dining experiences in the country! From the moment we walked in, the management and service staff provided an outstanding experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional, the richness of the masala, the perfect balance of spices, and the authentic flavors made me feel like I was back home, enjoying a meal at a local Indian restaurant. During our visit to Asheville, we stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way to Charlotte, never expecting to find such a phenomenal place for Indian cuisine. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Aloo Tikki, Paneer Lababdar, Kaju Masala, Garlic Naan, and Dal Makhani, and each dish was flawless bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I can confidently say that this was one of the best Indian meals I have had anywhere in the U.S. Trust me, I am not exaggerating! Mehfil Indian Restaurant is a true treasure, and I would gladly visit Asheville again just to enjoy another meal here. Kudos to the entire team, especially the chef, whose passion for cooking shines through in every bite. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Mehfil is absolutely fantastic—easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried in the US. The food is rich, flavorful, and authentic, and the retro Bollywood songs playing in the background add a nostalgic charm that takes the dining experience to another level.
